- Is the print-ready PDF export actually free?
- Yes. Free export gives you the full A4 chart with a light Blaadline watermark, and there is no sign-up wall — you can export before you make an account. Premium removes the watermark and unlocks poster sizes, extra templates, and advanced export options.
- Will a large tree with many generations still fit on the page?
- Yes. Whole-tree export fits the drawn tree onto a single page automatically, and you can also export just the area visible on screen. Premium adds poster sizes: A3, A2, and A1.
- Does it work for names in Bengali, Arabic, or other scripts?
- Yes. The PDF is generated through your browser's native print pipeline, so every script your system can display prints correctly with no extra setup.
- Why is vector PDF better than a regular print or screenshot?
- A screenshot or raster image saves as fixed pixels — when blown up to poster size or zoomed in, text and lines blur. A vector PDF keeps scalable shapes and real text, so names stay sharp whether it is printed on A4 or enlarged at a print shop.
- What paper size do I need for my family tree?
- As a rough guide: up to about 30 people fits comfortably on A4, up to about 80 on A3, and larger trees read best on A2 or A1. Dense trees with long names need the bigger sheet sooner.
- Can I take the PDF to a print shop?
- Yes. The export is a standard PDF, so any print shop or copy shop can print it without special software.
